Cloud Expo Asia is one of the largest exhibition of the year highlighting various technology innovation and sees the gathering of key decision makers from various sectors, whether it be from the private or government sector. This year, the exhibition was held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre on the 10th and 11th of October with over 440 exhibitors. Cloud Expo Asia focuses on 3 areas:
Promoting local enterprises to the world stage and emerging technology trends such as Big Data, Cloud Computing and Business Transformation
Addressing Singapore’s concerns in tackling disruptive digital technologies and boosting Singapore’s capabilities to make our cities smarter
Tapping into opportunities to develop the digital economy and streamline regional trade
It is for these reasons that Insymo exhibited at Cloud Expo Asia Expo together with their partners Simtech, Omron and NexG.
Insymo is proud to announce their new Business Intelligence services that Insymo provides when it comes to Big Data and Business Transformation. As the economy starts to become data-driven, it is not only important to have infrastructure to collate and process huge amount of data but to also have tools to help visualize the data in forms that allows analyst to quickly and accurately make business critical decisions.
Visualize your data from SAP or Oracle
The service covers all aspects of implementing a BI tool, such as database management, data Extract – Transform – Load, Dashboard designing, Security Assessment and training. Everything you need to get the best out of your data and business. As Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, have said “If you don’t understand the details of your business you are going to fail.”
Omron also showcased some of their latest smart robotics technology at the booth, a Self-Navigating Autonomous Intelligent Vehicle (AIV).
Unlike other autonomous guided vehicles, OMRON’s LD Mobile Robot does not require facility modifications such as guiding lines and rails and is able to dynamically navigate through challenging environments while avoiding obstacles whether it be people or man-made structures. With a long battery life (and self-docking mechanism) and the ability to carried loads up to 130kg, it makes the ideal in-house transportation system for any businesses requiring mass movement of objects within the facilities’ vicinity. Examples are such as packages in a courier warehouse, medicine in a hospital and so on.
During the exhibition, the robot was integrated to a cloud based waste management solution jointly developed by nexG and Simtech. The waste management solution utilized a IOT smart bin to command the robot to perform a collection when the smart bin is almost full.
NexG introduced their latest cloud-based operations management platform called FNG.IO. This solution allows businesses to have an easy way to completely transforms its operations.
From a single portal which can be accessed through a web browser, a company is able to collate delivery orders, assign a delivery to a driver, notify the driver about the delivery and provide an electronic Proof-of-Delivery (e-POD) when the delivery is successful. Being a cloud-based solution, FNG.IO is easily scalable for any sized company and is also a very affordable solution. The breakthrough technology that FNG.IO provides is their delivery route optimization technology, which allows the company to assign deliveries to their drivers based on the most optimized route possible. These optimizations are based on several factors, such as routes that are fastest to reach the desired destination and order of deliveries to be made which are on the way from one another. It is expected that with these optimizations, major savings can be made through lesser fuel consumption and lower vehicle maintenance..
